Your Maryland Relocation Expert, Marina Brockmann

“I accepted a position with a law firm in Baltimore City, Maryland in December and needed to find a trustworthy realtor to assist me and my family with our move. We needed to sell our home in Delaware and find a home near Baltimore City that would accommodate two generations, my husband and me and our son and his wife. Our special needs included (but were not limited to):

We did not want to be put in a position of having to pay two mortgages, so selling our home in Delaware needed to be coordinated with buying a home in Maryland.
- Time was of the essence.
- I was starting my new job on January 3rd so my time was limited to search for a new home.
- I would need immediate temporary housing in Maryland.
- My husband needed a “work” office in the home, away from the family setting.
- Our son needed a “study” office in the home.
- The home needed to be handicap accessible.
- Ultimately, it appeared my in-laws would be moving in as well, so the home needed to be able to accommodate three generations.

I was referred by a staff member of my new employer to Marina Brockman with Equity Realty. Marina was excellent as a realtor. She was very conscientious of our needs and made herself available 24/7 to accomplish what needed to be done.

She truly went the “extra mile” in helping us find the right home in the right neighborhood to suit our needs. Marina assisted us with every aspect of our move by:

Recommending a Delaware realtor who would work with her to coordinate the sale of our home in Delaware with the purchase of a home in Maryland.
Taking the time to get to know our family and identifying our special needs.
Orienting us to our new location and candidly informing us of the features of various neighborhoods and where she thought our family would be the most satisfied living (and she was right)!
Helping me find a temporary “furnished” apartment.
Being very flexible, patient and accommodating when our needs changed.
Being willing to put our schedules ahead of hers in making appointments to see housing, at any time of the day or evening, 7 days a week.
Guiding us thorough all aspects of “closing”.
Providing information related to decorators, shopping, contractors, healthcare, or any other needs that presented at that time.

Three months after contacting Marina we moved into our new home. Marina helped make what could have been an overwhelming experience an experience with many fond memories. We found a wonderful house that we now call “home” and the person that used to be called our realtor is now called our “friend”.

Therefore, we would highly recommend, with great confidence, Equity Realty and Marina Brockman to anyone who is planning to relocate to the Baltimore area."

"We were getting ready to put our house on the market and wanted to give a fellow church member our listing. We knew Marina from church but not of her skills as a realtor. Upon meeting with her and learning of her approach to marketing our home we decided to go with her. That was our best decision. The market was turning to a buyers market and we had already purchased a new home in New Mexico. We needed it to sell.

Marina worked every viewing and asked buyers questions about what they liked or didn’t like about our home. Marina turned a couple on the edge into a sale by changing what they didn’t like into a possibility of what our home could look like with their idea of an eat-in kitchen. The couple bought our home and turned it into their dream home (we are friends still and they love their home like we loved it). Marina made it happen in a tough market and made two families very happy."
